What is hybristophilia?
Hybristophilia is a phenomenon where a person is sexually attracted to violent criminals.
You can’t have a discussion about serial killers without talking about the people who are obsessed with them. Throughout true crime history, murderers and other violent offenders have drawn attention from both men and women alike.
Serial Killers and the women who love them
Women reportedly sent serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer money and other gifts during his time in prison. Ted Bundy had a fan club known as The Bundyphilles, who actively lobbied for his release. And the “Night Stalker” Richard Ramirez had supporters write him letters and pay him prison visits.
Wild Bill and his “Ted Bundy hoes”
William Holbert calls his female fans “Ted Bundy hoes.” Holbert has more than 500 members following him on Facebook. The vast majority of them are female. Brandi Billings is one of those women. In fact, she considers Wild Bill her best friend and business partner.
